Capabilities of LC MAGIC

Dimming Technology

  • Liquid crystals are arranged in a random array. As the refraction indexes of the liquid crystals and polymers are not the same, light is scattered, which makes the state of the film opaque.

  • Liquid crystals are arranged in a regular array. As the refraction indexes of the liquid crystals and polymers are the same, light passes through, which makes the state of the film transparent.

Normal Black

Our new line, LC MAGIC™ Normal Black, offers a sleek dark tint that allows only 5% of visible light to pass through when power is off.
Toppan aims to launch mass production of Normal Black in 2024, making samples available to the transportation industry, including the automotive, aviation, and rail sectors.
