Toppan Printing launches "Social Media Live!" an analysis service for internet word-of-mouth The service will compile and analyze word-of-mouth information on companies and products and provide it as "marketing information for decision making"

From July 30, Toppan Printing Co., Ltd. (hereafter Toppan Printing; head office: Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo; President & CEO: Shingo Kaneko) will launch "Social Media Live!", targeting manufacturers, services and distribution companies. Social Media Live! is a word-of-mouth analysis service that uses technology from hottolink, Inc. (hereafter hottolink; head office: Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo; CEO: Koki Uchiyama) to compile and analyze information on companies and products in real time from the enormous amount of word-of-mouth information on the Internet, such as blogs and message boards, and then use the information for purposes such as support for companies’ sales promotion activities and product development.

In recent years, with the expansion of internet tools known as social media, such as blogs, SNS and message boards, consumers have come to use them to disseminate varied information to an unspecified number of people. Consumers are also proactively using social media information as valuable information when making purchases.
